My students will benefit from wobble chairs, ball chairs, and wobble cushions, by allowing them the opportunity to have differential seating in the special education environment. In my classroom, I promote students advocating for their personal and academic needs, and many of them request cool down breaks where they access fidgets and timers to assist them in completing a cool down. The fidgets help calm and satisfy their sensory need as well as the visual timer. My students are all on behavior plans and have token economy systems that they utilize to earn positive reinforcement for their good behavior throughout the day and the K'nex, Pokemon, and fruit snacks will assist in the reinforcement for them. Please help me in providing the tools and an environment my students need to continue their journey to SUCCESS!
