My students currently struggle with literacy-based and math activities. As much as we review these activities in class, I currently do not have the resources available to me to help that will help reinforce the lessons in the classroom during small group time. These activities will allow the students to learn independently while I am working with smaller groups.
Most students are not getting the support that they need from home and I often receive letters from my parents stating that they're either too busy to work with them at home or can't get them to sit and listen. The activities that I am requesting will help the students retain information that is being taught in the classroom while encouraging the students to become motivated, independent learners.
The tools in my cart are for ELA and Math. They will allow the students to an opportunity to apply the skills that I am teaching to an independent activity that will challenge them. The materials are meant to reinforce the lessons that I am teaching as well as allowing the students to learn on their own through manipulation.
