Flexible seating in my classroom would be a dream come true. My classroom philosophy is based around the concept that children learn best when they are given choices. I give my students choice in the way they chose how to practice a skill. Now, I'd like to give my students choice in where they practice those skills. Sitting at a desk all day long is tough for many adults, let alone eight and nine year old children. Providing my students the use of wobbly stools, cushioned seats, and bean bags will allow them better focus and will help to engage them in their learning.
