My school has limited resources and unfortunately cannot afford to purchase a graphing calculator for each student taking my Advanced Placement Statistics course. It is difficult for the students to learn how best to succeed on the Advanced Placement exam without the proper resources. Students earn college credits by obtaining a passing grade on the Advanced Placement exam. Proper use of graphing calculators is essential in obtaining a passing grade on the AP exam. Allowing each student to use their own calculator instead of sharing one between 2 or 3 students will allow the student to gain the experience necessary with the device.
