The use of whiteboards is a fun and effective way for me to check my students' written mastery of various concepts studied in our Spanish classroom. From conjugating verbs to producing vocabulary, the students enjoy the interactive enhancement that whiteboards bring to instruction. In addition, the students can immediately self-check their own learning, as well as that of their peers. The inclusion of extra markers allows students to color-code their work, not to mention the fact that markers often dry-out quickly due to frequent, but important, use. The digital wall clock/timer is an excellent tool that will allow the students to independently monitor their timing on learning tasks. By creating defined lesson segments, students are more likely to work productively in the allotted time. It also helps students transition more swiftly between activities, such as from group work to independent learning. A visual timer will help keep our class on point and moving forward, while still allowing me to project directions and examples on the LCD projector. By donating to our project, you will not only help to enhance and increase student focus and production, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
