An iPad would change the way my groups learn. My students need extra support in reading and math and it often helps to teach in new ways. Technology gives classrooms an opportunity to show students concepts and practice learning through doing. An iPad would give access to videos that give examples of age-appropriate real-life scenarios in which these skills apply.
Our classrooms are becoming more technologically driven as the country moves toward electronic assessments, and an iPad would give my students practice that would support them in the transition. Access to apps would teach technological literacy that will prove invaluable in these children's futures.
