I work at one of the best rated high schools in the country but the county where it is located is among the least affluent in the state. I am trying to be a leader in integrating technology in the classroom to engage students. I have been purchasing Chromebooks and tablets on my own to supply the students that do not have one of their own. I have almost 100 students each year so this is a costly venure. My school has Chromebook carts that are shared among all of the teachers but I use devices every day so it is not feasible for me to use the cart daily. I would like to use the funds to buy more Chromebooks so that I can expand my lesson plans to fully incorporate technology. The students enjoy the lessons more when they are immersed in the process of learning.
