My teachers and I use technology to specifically meet their diverse learning needs, but when it comes to class set up, we just have the standard tables & chairs. I have created a quiet space for them when their feeling stressed, but my students have shared that they'd like to be able to continue working and learning even when they can't sit still. Many of my students have decided to stand rather than to sit any longer in their chairs, and I don't blame them! I feel my students need to rock and roll I order to allow them to optimal learners. With this project, my students will now have the choice to sit on a hokki stool to better concentrate while working in my resource room, in small groups or individually.
