The materials we are requesting will be used to create engaging, hands-on learning centers for students to learn and review language arts and mathematic skills. Materials include Reading & Writing Instant Learning Centers, Math Instant Learning Centers, one Instant Math Games Library, one Reading Comprehension Games Library, Can Do! Ready Games, Word Work Activity Stations, Blends & Digraphs Instant Learning Center, and moveable alphabets for our literacy and math centers. The Paper Trays will be used for classroom organization and materials. We will have the following center rotation options in our classroom: literacy center, math center, listening center, technology center and science center.
These centers will support students in developing the necessary skills to become 21st Century learners. Students will strengthen their skills in communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. Donations to this project will help improve our classroom by giving my students the opportunity to routinely practice their language arts and mathematic skills.
The literacy and mathematics centers will help them learn how to work independently on skill-building without the teacher. Moreover, students will have the opportunity to collaborate with peers and communicate effectively towards a common goal. Ultimately, the centers will also help me differentiate my instruction to meet the diverse needs and interests of my students.
