I currently am a teacher librarian in a small elementary school. I work with students from preschool to fifth grade. I have 530+ students that come to the library every week to read and check out books. My students also have access to computers, and they get to come and learn 21st century skills in the library. We have also started a small Makerspace in the library for students. My school serves a high population of English language learners, low income students, and over half of the students are minorities. My students come from various backgrounds, but they all want to learn.
