In our building many of our students speak a different language at home. Some students can converse with others in their classroom who speak the same language, while some students are the only ones who speak that particular language in the room. I want my English Language Learners to be proud of their cultural background and where they come from. It is not something to be ashamed of or to hide.
I want my kids to feel confident in sharing their individuality with their peers. With these multicultural kits, crafts, and activities, my students will be able to share their culture with their classmates by showcasing who they are, using the People Shapes Project kit, and where they come from, using the Craft Menagerie kit as well as the remaining craft items. My goal is for students to find something they have in common with others!
