This year, built into my math instructional time, is one-on-one time to help lower-achieving students begin to bridge some of the gaps in their learning. Students not in a small group during that time work on on-line math lessons. Children who are caught up with their lessons are now learning to code through code.org as another step in scaffolding their learning so that all children are challenged in a way that interests them.
At a full inclusion school like ours from Kindergarten to Grade 8, it is sometimes a challenge to find projects and lessons that inspire all children to grow to their fullest potential.
