Support Mrs. Amparo's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
My students have had a rough start this school year. Due to an increase in enrollment, they have been recently gathered into a class with limited supplies and materials needed to create a stable learning environment. I am requesting tools that will help with classroom management and supplies to aid in their learning, such as carpet squares, journals, and a school supplies. My ultimate goal is create structure in order to help them learn.
Students need to have structure and their own space whether it be home or at school. During reading time or whole group activities on the carpet, their personal space is often invaded by other students who are sitting too closely to them. This distraction interferes with their learning. This particular rug will create a bright, visible and tangible boundary for the students. They will have their own space during our special carpet time. The rug will serve a variety of purposes. The rug will serve as a tool for classroom management by allowing students to be grouped by color and can be used for other learning activities.
My students are also missing basic school supplies to help in their learning. Due to budget cuts, teachers are not given funds for these necessities. I am requesting a set of writing and math journals suitable for 1st grade students. These journals will help keep their written work in one place for the entire school year. I am also requesting school supplies and binder pouches so their items will have a place of their own.
