My third graders are excited to be part of a STEM Magnet school. We have embarked on a project based learning journey that utilizes technology as one of the main components of research, reading, and creating products. We currently lack enough computers for each child to experience 21st learning methods.
Our class will use Chromebooks to research content, read online textbooks bought by our district, and create digital products. Currently, our district has a curriculum based on 21st century learning, with online textbooks, google accounts, and online reading programs, such as Reading Renaissance. When every student has access to a computer, we will be able to implement our curriculum wholeheartedly and effectively. 21st century academic standards call for 21st century learning resources!
