Our school is situated in a low-income/high-poverty school district. The students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Many students are being raised in single-parent households and free/reduced lunch is at 96% for the school. Despite the many challenges they face, they continue to dream, set goals, and work hard. I might just have some of the hardest working students and athletes in the state of Alabama. I push them daily to become the best they can be, and they continue to strive for excellence. Thank you to Target for funding Watch Our Garden Grow and Building Strong Arms!!! Thank you to Jeanine Mullins, Louise Prescott, Donna Bell, Sherry Garnett, Paul Adams, and an anonymous donor from Georgia for funding Hey Batter, Batter Let's Hear Some Chatter! About my class
