My students ask for new recess equipment and team building activities. Their recess gear is battered and old. My students want to create their own version of exercise stations and obstacle courses. They want to work together as a team and engage in friendly competition.
As my students worked together to pick their equipment items, they chose a variety of play balls and centers. They selected basketballs, hula hoops, paired games, and a tactile scoreboard. My students want to learn through play. Some students want to learn basketball while others are excited to learn the hula hoop. My students are looking forward to competing in their first annual hula hoop championship. They are so excited to play with the equipment they chose!
