My fifth grade students are being introduced to the wonderful world of history as we study how the great country of America was founded. They are constantly asking me questions about the time period and wanting to see the exciting artifacts that support their understanding. Unfortunately, there is not enough technology readily available in our classroom for students to spend time exploring or researching on their own.
Having tablets in the classroom to quickly hand to the students will give them the ability to research and discover the facts on their own. It would allow them to explore the areas of the time period that not only support the classroom learning, but the freedom to find answers they are curious about. They can read and research which will continue to strengthen their reading skills.
