Headphones will give my students an opportunity to listen to stories and games on their iPads that will enhance the instruction they receive in their special education classroom. We have been blessed by our district with new iPads, but currently do not have headphones for them.
With several student using iPads at various times throughout the day, you can imagine how distracting even 5 iPads can be to the rest of the class if they are reading information aloud. In our program, we often use centers to best differentiate our instruction. Being able to better utilize our iPads will help our students even more by providing a quiet and less distracting learning environment. Additionally, many of our students are have sound sensitivities. These headphones will allow our students to adjust the volume to the level they are most comfortable with, and help to block some of the outside classroom noises out to help them focus on the work they are doing on their iPad.
