Each of the books on this list will be used to enlighten my students on the impact of various women in history, racial history in the US, Native American literature, and also some modern classics. Many of the books I selected for this project give examples for how my students can learn to overcome challenges in their lives. I want to teach my students a wide variety of genres and topics that they can analyze academically while also become inspired to go out and change the world. My vision this year is to instill a desire to read with my scholars so that they feel confident, excited, and honored to be someone in our society that uses their gift of reading.

About my class
