The classroom document camera is an amazing tool that allows students to have a more dynamic and interactive classroom. Regardless of the subject you are teaching, document cameras help you make the most out of any lesson plan by allowing you to move past the whiteboard and into the world of three dimensional shapes. Document cameras really bridge a gap in learning for all students, from all backgrounds, and of all ages. Some of these benefits include, but are not limited to: more class time devoted to discussions of students’ written work and thought processes, increased numbers of students, especially English language learners, sharing and explaining their work, growing student confidence in their mathematical abilities and better comprehension of concepts and increased teacher understanding of students’ thought processes. The most exciting aspect of using document cameras in the classroom is the extra dimension that it brings during the learning process. In addition to showing writing, equations, literature and color, you can also display three-dimensional objects!
