I teach science through agriculture in my class, and a large component is understanding how to prepare the food that we produce in class. By receiving these materials, my students will be able to truly understand the concept of Farm to Plate through learning by doing.
My students will take the vegetables we grow in the greenhouse and gardens and prepare them in a variety of ways to understand that healthy food can be tasty too! We will learn to reduce the amount of food that is wasted and increase the amount of nutrients that students are getting in their daily diets.
