The use of calculators in our math class is essential. They allow us to calculate, manipulate, and create mathematical representations. Where the problem comes into play is when the calculators are not working or broken. We cannot, on a daily basis, guarantee that I will have enough calculators for all my students to have one. By donating to our project, you will be helping give my students new and reliable calculators for use in class. Having a calculator for each of the students in my classes will help ensure that they are engaged and participating in the classroom instruction and activities.
