Support Mrs. Vineyard's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
My students have lots of energy. They love to find their individual workspace in my classroom. Some of them learn or work best by standing, while others prefer to sit alone in a cozy spot on the floor. I always encourage them to find a home that best suits their individual learning needs. My wish is to provide my students with more options such as the bungee chair, scoop rockers, bean bag chairs, etc to enhance their learning environment.
By providing my students multiple seating options, they will become responsible for finding what feels best and what type of seating will make them the best learner. Students will become more self-aware and independent. Each student is different, therefore making their needs different. If they need a different space in the classroom to better themselves as learners, then it is my responsibility as a teacher to provide that.
I want my students to feel comfortable and safe in our learning environment. I think offering multiple seating options in my classroom will significantly increase their ability to work collaboratively and creatively within our classroom community.
