My students have been together since last year in 2nd grade and have had the privilege of being able to have a digital classroom since each one is provided with a laptop to use all year, both in the classroom as well as at home. In the classroom, we use the devices for numerous digital activities throughout the day. By donating to our project, you will not only help to motivate my students by providing them with over-ear headphones of their own, but you will also be helping to increase student academic achievement.
As a digital classroom students are required to use headphones for various activities such as reading programs, math lessons, and research, but parents are not able to provide good quality headphones that will last throughout the year. Sometimes my students will have earbuds that last them a week or two and then they are left trying to listen to their devices aloud in a corner of the class or without usage until they are able to obtain new ones. I have wonderful students full of great potential to do great. All they need is a helping hand to provide them with the essentials they need to better their learning.
