Replacing a student's chair with a stability ball will enhance a student's learning and allow them to reach their full potential in the classroom! Stability balls improve a child's posture, strengthen core muscles, and provide the child a controlled place to move and bounce when their bodies need it. It's been said that a student who uses a ball chair is able to sit still, focus better, and write words more clearly!
Being a first year teacher, my manipulatives and centers are few to none. Adding a math manipulative center with multiple number activities would greatly benefit my students by allowing them to become more hands-on and connect with the lessons more effectively.
My students deserve the best education and with our curriculum being years behind where it needs to be, this would greatly help our classroom in just a little way!
