My amazing students deserve the best! I would like them to feel empowered by having choice and control over their environment. These flexible seating options will make learning fun AND more comfortable! Equally important, my goal is to implement a trauma sensitive classroom to ensure that all students feel safe and secure in school. These seating options will make working in groups throughout the classroom engaging and exciting while meeting individual needs of all students. A recent study in 2012 from the University of Minnesota found that “students participated 48% more in discussions in a classroom with collaborative group seating versus traditional lecture-style seating and also improved their performance on standardized tests,” according to Smith System. Help me implement the flexible seating my class needs and deserves.
