I have 32 enthusiastic students that are full of life and ready to learn everyday. My 4th grade students come from low incomes areas of Washington Heights. These students receive free breakfast and lunch everyday. In addition to our free meal program our school also provides free uniforms and backpacks full of school supplies. Many of our students are in difficult living arrangements so as a school we pride ourselves on being able to help them in various ways.
A majority of my students face many hardships in there everyday lives, so when they come to school it is a safe outlet for them. My students come to school eager to learn and ready to do their very best. My students have adapted to new forms of learning and they have learned through one another by participating in collaborative work. These students are willing and ready to start their pathway to higher education.
