Students create problem solving skills by working on a plan of action within their learning environment. Typically, we use dry-erase boards in order to work out real-world problems on a daily basis. With the current school budgets constantly dwindling, teachers need to rethink supply costs and needs within the classroom.
I am always needing to restock dry-erase markers and erasers in my classroom. One way I have thought to eliminate this need is the Boogie Board. The Boogie Board is an LED screen tablet that students use a pen in order to work out problems and create STEM plans. Students simply press a button and it will erase the board. This also eliminates the dry-eraser residue that we often see from dry-erase boards.
