I teach in a little town that has one main business called Sito. It is our town's name backwards (Otis). They build tresses. Because of this company, I have access to all the wood scraps my students can use. Wood burning designs in the donated scrap wood is a great way for my students to recycle and to utilize materials that would otherwise be thrown away. The sky is the limit on what they can create. Anything that they can draw on the wood, they can burn into the wood.
