My students have different needs and the more opportunities they receive the better off they will be as adults. The kindergarten as well as pre-K classes, need various equipment to allow them to explore different movements and skills. For both, the Elementary level as well as HS students that I teach it is important to modify each lesson for each student. Having equipment to do that is key!
Your donation will help in getting many items that can be utilized across all ages in order to promote fitness for life! It is important that students experience different activities in order to help them improve physically as well as socially.
The parachute will be used at all levels because it is a great tool for socializing, fine motor movement, cooperation and fun. With the scooters I plan on allowing the younger children to use it as part of fitness and cooperation. At the HS level I will create activities such as scooter hockey, relay races, and fitness stations to keep the students on task. Beanbags will be utilized for hand eye coordination activities and cones to create pattern, boundaries, stations and so forth.
