My classroom is full of excitement every time my students get access to technology. Unfortunately, we only have 5 devices that are shared among them, so they only get to use them every other.
During a writing activity, one of my students wrote: "I dream of having a tablet". As the rest of his classmates, he only has access to technology and the internet at school. Teaching 21 GT students with very limited technology is a little heart breaking. They all want to read, to research, to play, to use technology, but they have to wait one or two days for their turn.
This is the first grant I create with the hope to transform my classroom into a 1-1 classroom. My students would use them to reinforce and practice 2nd-grade skills and concepts, but most importantly, they would use them to enrich their lives with research and learning about the things they are passionate about. They would use them to discover their passions and their calling and explore their future path to college and entrepreneurship.
We are counting on you!!
