My students need binoculars to help them connect with nature. They will learn how to investigate, ask questions, and explore birds and biodiversity. I hope to spark their curiosity, build science skills, and inspire them to become active, lifelong citizen scientists. The binoculars will not only help our students learn about birds but also will strike curiosity that will be share with their parents and community.
Observing birds will benefit students by causing a natural curiosity to ask questions and conduct investigations. Students will also learn how they can make a difference in their own community by becoming citizen scientists who will collaborate with researchers and experts in the fields of climate change, advocacy, and the protection of declining bird species.
