I am requesting an area rug for my students. The rug will be used for morning meeting, question of the day, read aloud, and other group activities that we can sit on the floor for. The students will also have a place on the floor to play during their brain break instead of the cold tile floor. The floor gets cold during the winter as we are in a portable with raised flooring.
With the area rug, the students will have a warm and comfortable place to sit on the floor. This will help them in their learning because their focus will be on me, the teacher, instead of what is on the floor or what color yoga mat they are sitting on.
