My class has a lot of energy. This makes it challenging for them to sit still during our guided reading and math times of the day. They are always fidgeting and wiggling in their chairs which can be distracting to other students in my class. My students told me their concerns which inspired me to look for chairs that would help them! We discussed several options as a class to find out what they thought would be most helpful. My class decided that special stools would be best. They liked that these Hokki stools helped them move and stay active without distracting one another. They were also thrilled when I told them that these chairs would also help them work out their tummy muscles while they learned. My students thought it would be great to be working on their minds and bodies at the same time.
These chairs will make a huge difference in the way my students learn. These stools will also help my students in their goal to be active at least 60 minutes a day. My students will use these eight Hokki chairs during guided instruction two times a day.
