Keeping the room quiet while students finish testing is important for everyone. So is moving ahead with new learning. Since most of my students come from low-income households, they do not come to school with their own devices or headsets, but we are fortunate to have 25 new Chromebooks in the room.
Having these Kensington headsets will allow students who finish testing to quietly listen to a video lecture while peers continue to test. This allows all students to use time efficiently. Video lectures allow students to pause and rewatch parts that need clarification. Using these Kensington headsets will allow all students to use their time well without interrupting others.
