Hello Friends!
My name is Maura Donnelly and I am a teacher with the NYC DOE Hospital Schools. I work with children PreK through 5th grade at a Crisis Nursery in New York City.
The Crisis Nursery is a short term, up to 28 days respite for
children in crisis. It is a safe place for children when their parents are hospitalized, in rehab for substance abuse or victims of domestic violence.
The children come in with their siblings, so we often have children ranging in age from Pre K through 3rd or 4th grade.
We are a modern day one room school house in NYC!
