iPads would be a wonderful resource to use in small groups because they are engaging, they are a portable, and they have the ability to be used in various subjects. Studies indicate that it can have real educational benefits for young children. Research sponsored by the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop found that certain apps may improve children’s vocabulary and math skills. There is also evidence that in children with cognitive delays iPad apps can boost language use and social interaction.
By donating five iPads for my students, you open their education to a whole new experience. They will be able to work on apps that are engaging for mathematics and science. They will be able to read more books than they have at home.
