My students need a storage place they can call their own. We need seat pockets so they will have a place to put their tools when we're done working or transitioning to another activity. My classroom is short on science activities and materials to supplement my science curriculum, so the science storybooks and the physical science file folder games will allow students to work on developing and mastering their understanding of science concepts. They will also allow students to work on certain skills independently or in small groups, reinforcing what was learned in class.
The ten-frames magnetic answer boards will be used in small-group instruction to support students in mastering the Common Core State Standards and objectives in math and developing strategies to help solve addition and subtraction math problems. These supplies and resources will be put to great use, as the students in my class enjoy science (with minimal materials), enjoy reading and math, and are eager to learn new things. These materials will also help the students become more independent in choosing activities and assist in their higher level thinking and questioning skills.
Having materials readily available will allow my students to spend more time on tasks. I'm sure that the materials will be a great supplement and help in my students' academic progress. Please know that your donations, no matter how great or small, are welcomed and appreciated by all! Thanks!
