We are requesting 15 Amazon Fire Tablets and 2 Chromebooks as tools to encourage reading, increase proficiency in math, and to aid in their individual learning styles. Our school has adapted many programs to aid in the individual learning styles of our students. Therefore many resources to the programs we use are available online, however many students come from low income families and do not have computers and other technology resources at their disposal. With these tablets, students will be able to access the programs in class during whole and small group instruction. They will be able to follow along the SmartBoard and will be able to log into their accounts to programs that the school has purchased for use. Our math program has an interactive notebook, animated math and "itools" available for support and guidance for students who need additional reinforcements. Students will also have access to leveled readers and other materials that are incorporated in the reading program. The school has also purchased accounts for students to programs and we want to give our students every opportunity to use these resources.
It is a privilege and honor to be able educate and inspire our future generations.
It is also a great responsibility that we take very seriously. If we instill into our children's minds that they have limitless possibilities to achieve greatness, then it is our duty to try our best to supply our students with an unlimited amount of resources.
