Students will use Chromebooks to research art and artists, create computer generated art, create research-based slide shows both individually and in pairs or groups, as well as, take assessments and critique their work as well as the work of others.
Many of my students do not have access to technology and this project will give them access to the 21st Century skills that will foster their creativity, ability to work in groups and cultivate their ability to think abstractly. Because art problems do not have concrete answers students will have the ability to see how others have solved similar visual problems, assess their strategies and formulate their own. This critical thinking is imperative to success in all areas of education and social-emotional learning.
