Third, flexible seating promotes collaboration which teaches students how to work together to reach a common goal. Fourth, flexible seating promotes movement. Children need movement or they can become distracted. Fifth, students find flexible seating more comfortable than traditional seating. Comfortable students are calm, focused, and productive. Lastly, flexible seating creates sensory stimulation. Sensory input is especially helpful for students with ADD, ADHD, and ASD.
