My students live in a high poverty level, often from homes where literacy is the farthest thing from their minds. I want to foster a love of reading and a desire to learn to read and read well.
We have joined our school's Accelerated Reader program and the students are eager to compete with their same age peers. Because my students perform at a lower level (pre-k through third grade) and our school is a fourth to sixth grade school, we have run out of books for our children to read and comprehend on their reading levels.
Please help to continue their progress and love of books.
