My students love to participate in our Active Board activities; however, this is one of the only interactions with technology for some of my students. Due to their varying abilities, they do not all have access to the same technology. It is difficult for them to manipulate our classroom computers. Although they are capable of engaging in the material, their fine motor deficits make it impossible for them to access and participate in the specialized Autism computer program our district was granted. If my students were given access to a touchscreen in which they only had to use their finger, they would benefit greatly across many areas.
