My school is an IB/PYP school. Every morning we have what we call a Rally Circle鈥攁 time to share and learn more about each one of our friends in the class. Using the novel 鈥淲onder鈥 will lead the children to understand friends and understand themselves. Reading the novel Wonder, I believe will trigger some amazing discussions and our ability to be mindful at all times of taking care of others. My goal this year is to continually keep my students mindful of their thoughts and actions. I have purchased several Teachers pay Teachers resources that have excellent ideas and questions to spur conversations with my students. When we have finished reading the novel, we will plan a popcorn party/viewing party of the movie, 鈥淲onder鈥.
