The items that I have selected for this project will be amazing additions to our classroom. The light table and sand/water table will be easy to modify throughout the year to fit the needs of my individual students, and I know that they will be our most popular literacy and math centers! The alphabet puzzles will be an amazing resource for my students as they start to master the letter names and their sounds, and it will be a center that they can revisit throughout the year to practice certain letters. Lastly, the LEGOs and Magna-tiles will be a hit during play time! They will love collaborating on LEGO stories with each other and building Magna-tile structures on the light table.
For many of my students Kindergarten is their first time being at school, and I want to do everything that I can to make it a positive and fun jumping-off point to their educational journey. I strive to make my classroom a warm and welcoming space where my students learn by having fun and making connections through exploration. There will be so many ways for us to use these stations throughout the school year!
