In 7th grade, students are figuring out who they are and finding their identity. It is crucial to have conversations about responsibility, respect, honesty, kindness, and perseverance in order to be successful. Each month there will be a different character focus. These books will be read aloud to small groups the first week of the month. They will help drive conversations around those character traits. We will also participate in a service project around the character trait that will benefit our community. At the end of the month the students will reflect on how they demonstrated the characters trait and how they can relate to the characters in the books.
