Math education these days emphasize the importance of making real world connections with topics they learn in school. I often struggle with this component because even when students are working on their project and trying to research a topic outside of school, they lack supervision or resources (computer, internet, phone, etc). With the tablets in classroom, students can research and make real world connection on the spot with teacher's supervision. Projects based on real life examples will help them to make connections with mathematics and broaden their perspectives. With guided instruction and researching techniques, I believe that my students can achieve something that is greater and amazing. Every day, I witness potential and possibilities in my students. With these materials, I believe I can help them to maximize their potential and possibilities.
