My students will enjoy reading the latest kids news through the Scholastic News magazine. Science Spin and Geography Spin also have great up to date information to help connect the science and geography curriculum. Along with these magazines, we will also have access to the online interactive portion, which we will enjoy using on our SMARTBoard. This large interactive visual is great for engaging the students with the magazines. When I was a child I learned how to play the recorder and begin to read music. It appears that the public schools have done away with this fun musical opportunity. Music is no longer available in our school as an encore opportunity. I will love to teach my students how to play the recorder and learn to read music. It will be fun for my students.
