Funding this project of five Active Learning Stools will add to my students' choice of seating options. We currently have eight ball chairs and it takes us four days to rotate, giving each child a turn to sit on alternative seating. Adding these stools to our flexible seating choice would be the next step in our desire to have an entire classroom of choices!
A student's day at school is enhanced by choices. I want to put my students in the driver's seat of their own learning. The ability to create rocking motion with these learning stools will help keep a child on task. These stools allow for a wide range of motion so when energy hits, my students will have means to release. These stools encourage proper posture and will strengthen core muscles of our students.
