Contributing to 1:1 with iPads will allow my students to collaborate digitally, become responsible digital citizens, and to utilize technology in a meaningful and innovative way in the classroom. Going 1:1 will allow my students to learn and gain skills to prepare for jobs that don't yet exist.
Getting devices into the hands of socioeconomic disadvantaged kids is the first step to granting them the opportunity to learn in a fast paced-tech savvy world while also closing the equity gap .
Almost 90% of my students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch and many come from households with no working computer system or consistent internet access. Not only will 1:1 access allow students to gain 21st Century necessary skills, but it will grant them an opportunity to create, collaborate, and communicate in a digital age.
